CBS has researched and developed a second generation Waste to Compost Machine which reduces the waste processing time from conventional 24 hours to 10 hours and reduces the electricity consumption by up to 60%. A regular automatic composting machine uses electricity to heat the waste and evaporate the moisture content whereas the second generation composting machines separates 50% of the moisture content (liquid compost) at the first stage itself at the time of crushing (Shredder). The volumetrically reduced semi-wet waste then enters the composting tank (Waste to Compost Machine) where is it processed only for 8 to 10 hours giving out compost. As the electric consumption is significantly less, the machine can also be run by hybrid solar energy attachment (Solar Hybrid System).
