Hydrocyclone Separator

    Description: In any liquid pumping operation, the presence of sand, silt, grit, and other solid particles poses a significant challenge. The Sand Eliminator hydrocyclonic separator addresses this challenge by utilizing centrifugal action to remove these unwanted solids from pumped water and fluids.

    Operation: The hydrocyclone separator utilizes centrifugal force to push heavier particles to the outer chamber, where they are collected, while clean water exits through the center. This efficient process ensures optimal equipment performance and minimizes maintenance requirements.

Key Objectives:

  • Performance Criteria:
    • 98% removal efficiency for particles sized 74 microns and larger, with specific gravity of 2.6 for solids and 1.0 for water and goes upto 31% efficiency for solids smaller than 40 microns and specific gravity of 1.8.
    • Capable of removing particles as fine as 5 microns, including those heavier and some lighter by specific gravity.
